A Family Recipe

Pickle Dip is a 50 year old family recipe! The brand, Phil’s Pickle Dip™, started when Richard, Christian, and Phillip Norman teamed up to bring their family dip to the world!

Meet the Normans

Phillip Norman

Phillip Norman, CEO

Hello, my name is Phillip Norman and I’m the CEO of Norman Brothers Foods, Inc. Before being promoted as Chief Operating Officer, I’ve had a very exciting history of many different careers and opportunities such as, crewing on and driving professional monster trucks, working in the oil fields as a frack-heater operator, and even worked as a store clerk in Oregon at the Azalea Mountain grocery store. I’ve traveled the world including almost all the United States, Canada, Australia and Mexico. Starting Phil's Pickle Dip™ has been an exciting business venture thus far with my family and I truly can't wait to see where it goes from here!

Christian Norman

Christian Norman, COO

Growing up in Port St. Lucie, Florida, there was always a constant in our family. Of course, as you may have guessed, it was always having a bowl of Pickle Dip to devour for football games, holidays, monster truck shows and at plenty of barbeques. In 2008 I graduated from Treasure Coast High School. I was fortunate enough to live my childhood dream of working in the monster truck industry with teams such as Viper, Hall Brothers, Feld Motor Sports, and 2-Xtreme Racing. Eight long years of hard work and sacrifice finally paid off when I was offered an opportunity to drive for Team BIGFOOT® out of Pacific Missouri. Earning a world racing championship in 2018 and best of all, having my brother Phillip as my crew chief. It was a childhood dream come true! In 2022, after 12 years on the road traveling through all 48 lower states and 14 other countries entertaining thousands of families and fans, it was time to retire from the sport. The big question was, what now? That’s when my brother Phillip, our father Richard, and I made the decision to put Pickle Dip, our family recipe, out into the world and the result was Phil’s Pickle Dip™! As Chief Operating Officer, I take great pride in ensuring our customers have the best product possible and is delivered safely and on-time.

Ann Marie Norman

Ann Marie Norman, Creator

Ann Marie Crawford was born in 1939 in Rockland, MA. In 1961 she married Richard E. Norman Jr. and settled in South Yarmouth, MA. where they raised four children. She is the mother of Richard E. Norman III and the grandmother of Christian Norman and Phillip Norman. In the mid 1960’s and beyond, Ann Marie enjoyed hosting parties and family gatherings whenever possible. She was also into experimenting with different flavors and ingredients for hors d'oeuvre and snack dips. No one really knows the exact date, but in the early 1970’s, Ann Marie discovered a new potato chip dip that had everyone craving it and wanting more. It wasn’t uncommon for friends and family asking Ann Marie to make this dip whenever and wherever there was party or a gathering. In time, her children learned this recipe and began making it for their families and friends. It took the entrepreneurial foresight and enthusiasm of two of her grandsons to bring her original dip to the world. The result is what is now known as Phil’s Pickle Dip™. With the help of their father (Richard E. Norman III), Christian and Phillip started Norman Brothers Foods, Inc. and began making and selling Phils’ Pickle Dip™. The recipe is virtually the same recipe Ann Marie developed over 50 years ago. A huge debt of gratitude goes to the originator and creator of the original Pickle Dip. Thanks, mom/grandma.
